Through a gift, the association contributed money to classroom projects earlier this year via DonorsChoose. The gracious responses from two of the teachers are below.
"Dear Third Ward Neighborhood Association, I can't fully express my joy, excitement, and thanks for your donation to my project. It is great to see that you share my vision for reaching children. It is so exciting to see the children's faces as they discover new books in our classroom library. The books purchased will be used to improve reading skills and will allow the children to participate more in the schoolwide Accelerated Reader program.
I hope to share with my colleagues our success in funding this project. Thank you so much. I can't wait to introduce these tools to the children.

"Dear Third Ward Neighborhood Association, Thank you for giving my students the opportunity to gain the most knowledge they can in Medical Science, by seeing things in different colors. The color printer will really bring about a different angle of body parts and give more clarity to understanding body structures. This will really aid in my teaching and their understanding of structures of the human body.
I try to be creative and innovated in the classroom, but I have been faced with a number of budgetary obstacles to overcome. This is why I am so excited that you have helped to make our dreams come true. This printer will really open the gates of understanding the human body by clearly distinguishing the different body systems in vivid color. We all are so excited and ready to get started. I am planning lessons already to utilize our new technology. Thank you once again for your generous donation.
